Electric Tie Dye
They were just an average folk trio, until they rented a rehearsal space next to the nuclear power plant…
Electric Tie Dye takes traditionally acoustic instruments like upright bass, banjo and washboard and “electrifies” them thru a plethora of effects pedals, processors, triggers and synthesizers.
While their sound mashes together acoustic and electronic elements, the band’s style is to blend traditional American roots music with roots music from around the globe. The result is a psychedelic exploration into folktronica, dub-grass & space roots the band calls “plutonium powered folk”.
Don’t miss their high-energy set LATE NIGHT Friday, (technically Saturday) August 10th – 1am-until their fingers bleed at Big “G” Jam.
