Spotlight on the Artists & Programming for Big "G" Jam 2024
Bella’s Bartok
Live your fantasy and embrace the stranger side of life with Bella’s Bartok. A band known for raucous theatrical performances and an outspoken political message of finding hope in a world beset by cruel uncertainty. With utter joy, they seamlessly blend a rich cacophony of sound and soul into their music with influences ranging from Punk to Folk and Pop to Americana. Let your freak flag fly high, fiercely and free, throw your societal inhibitions to the wayside and seek comfort in the warm sonic embrace of Bella’s Bartok. We are the night and you are bound to boogie.
Floors may be broken but hearts will be mended.
New Planets
Jatoba is a Vermont-based trio with a distinctly unique sound consisting of quick, high-energy bluegrass tempos, thumping rockabilly bass lines, and soaring vocal harmonies, as well as punchy rhythmic improvisation, effects-driven guitar solos, beat-boxing, and even the occasional sitar interlude. Jatoba is a rebellious response to typical jam grass.

Inspired by grassroots, infused with soul, and born from the indie scene, PA Line strives to prove that in the current musical world of repetition and catchy leads, music can still hit you in the heart. This Buffalo-based band, described as Mumford & Sons meets Rusted Root, brings a harmony-packed, funky Folk-Rock sound that’s spreading across the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. The name PA Line comes from a simple catchline of the lead singer’s late father: “Peace Always,” a mantra that guides their journey.
The Pickle Mafia
Charlie Lindner started The Pickle Mafia with Marco Cirigliano and Ben Chilbert in May 2019. The band performs original cutting-edge jazz tunes and arrangements of popular artists from Nirvana to Chick Corea, as well as electronic danceable originals. Whether it’s an intimate grand piano show or a dance party, The Pickle Mafia brings energy and originality to every performance.
The Cadleys
TWO SINGERS, ONE VOICE. The Cadleys have been entertaining audiences throughout Upstate New York and New England with their powerful mix of traditional bluegrass, “new acoustic” a la Alison Krauss, and many of John’s originals, which have been recorded by national artists like Tony Trischka and Lou Reid. Their live performances bring it all to life with hair-raising harmony singing, virtuoso musicianship, and a truly special night of music.

https://kevinhiggins.bandcamp.com/
"On the outside, I'm a melody tinker, a wistful poet, a framer of moments, a quixotic nomad, a sucker for love, a plunderer for justice, a friend to those who’ll listen—an impudent ghost to those that won’t. On the inside, I’m a recovering cynic, a lighthouse keeper under siege, a champion of lost causes, and by birthright—my own worst critic. Still, always happiest occupying creative space." - Kevin Higgins
